2023 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP) Update September 2024
$1.5M to fund the NH Municipal Cyber Defense Program (MCDP). This partnership between DoIT, NH Public Risk Management Exchange (PRIMEX) and the Atom Group provides hands on training to municipal entities and NH residents across the state. Four examples of the training program are pictured.
Additional information on the MCDP and to sign up your community or school for services can be found here: https://www.theatomgroup.com/mcdp
$2.2M to fund Overwatch Foundation “.GOV in a Box” for NH Locals. This investment continues to fund turn-key migrations for towns, cities, counties, police departments, fire departments, special districts and K12s. To date 162 eligible entities have requested the service. To request “.Gov in a Box” services apply here: .GOV in a Box Request Form
$1M to fund Cybersecurity Training Courses for Local Government and K12 IT/Security Employees. This investment will make 17 of the most popular / in demand Individual Cybersecurity Certifications for individuals. Examples include Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and Cisco Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNA). Leveraging the power of the Statewide Contract for Training, we successfully negotiated a “Buy one Get one” deal for training credits under this program. As a result, we have $2M of training available! See a complete list of training and certification offerings and register for training here: Training Request Form
$566,720 to fund Hardware Tokens that enable Multifactor Authentication (MFA). We began this program in FFY2022, but demand exceeded supply! This investment enables us to fulfill requests for additional tokens from Towns and schools and enables us to provided Tokens as needed in conjunction with “.GOV in a BOX” services. Multi Factor Authentication, combined with strong passphrases is one of the most effective means of securing digital identities from malicious actors. If you already requested them, look for them soon! Submit any NEW requests for tokens here: Yubikey Request Form
$300K for SLCGP Program Management. We have a CAI Contractor, as an ongoing dedicated member, as part of our SLCGP team. He collects and ensures completeness of all requests for SLCGP services from eligible entities, coordinates with all our vendors for delivery of services and is vital to our digital presence and communications efforts about the various programs. We would be unable to execute this program without Sean Aulson’s great work!
Just for fun, here are a couple more training events provided under the MCDP.
